Ah, the weather is warmer. Flowers are blooming and wildlife is roaming. It smells like spring and with that comes warmer weather and more outdoor activities like special occasions and traveling. If you’re currently reading this and putting away the winter sweaters and layers or you’re drinking coffee and want us to get to the point, well here it is: it’s officially dress season! Yassss girl, it’s time to whip out your dresses and go out with the girls or maybe a formal occasion like a wedding or family event. We have new dresses just in time for the season and we’re super excited to show you! Let’s take a peek at our dresses and how to style them.

Solid Color Dresses

Solid color dresses are fun to style and in your preference! Let’s look at Sole’s Daphne dress. For this, we recommend pairing vibrant dresses with neutral colors such as beige, cream, and brown jewelry. Neutral jewelry enhances the color and makes your outfit pop much more, honestly it will make it look like you’re just coming from Fifth Ave! Since this dress is more boho and freestyle, pair it with some sandals, flats, or if you’re dressing up, a pair of wedges or heels in brown, beige, or ivory will compliment the dress. RULE #1: Always have a pattern dress in your closet. You never know when you’ll need one. It’s spring, pattern dresses are trendy and sophisticated for occasions and outings. On our online store and at one of our locations, you’ll always see plenty of pattern dresses. Our team lives by them, so you should too! Anyway, back to the point… let’s style this dress from One Fine Day!

Keep your jewelry minimum– make pattern dresses the focal point of your outfit. You can mix any pair of shoes with these type of dresses but our team recommends nice chunky heels or simple flats, the color should be neutral as well or if you’re feeling a little risky, you can do a pop of color like red or yellow. A great addition to this outfit would be a cute tote bag or cross body along with a denim jacket or blazer. Remember, if your outfit clashes, it’ll be distracting. If you’re going out with family or friends, pattern dresses should amplify your looks, not take away. Now go get yourself a pattern dress!

Silk/Satin Dresses

Satin dresses are a perfect material dress for weddings or formal occasions. However, we recommend you size up with these materials because silk and satin aren’t as flexible like cotton or linen. Satin is not as versatile in terms of stretching, so if you’re a size small do size up to a medium if you need extra room or plan to layer a jacket. Whether the dress is a pattern or solid color, for cool colors pair it with silver jewelry and for warmer colors, pair it with gold jewelry. Wear simple shoes– the dress is already elegant to begin with. We like to pair these types of dresses with simple heels, whether it’s chunky or stiletto. Pleated Dresses 

Want to add a little flare to your dresses? Pleated dresses are a chic yet vintage way of complimenting your figure and day-to-day looks. Take a look at Element’s pleated dress for example. Pair it with a cute cardi and some flats, and you got yourself a business casual look! Cardis are a cute way to put a cute feminine touch to this dress or if you’re layering, you can layer one of our Point Collection tops too. It’s really up to you! If you want to be more bold, you can add one of our Heritage Denim bomber jackets too. Aside from the layers, some simple flats or heels also add to the touch.
